The Adventures of Seth and Jonah

Today Jonah and I ventured to one of our favorite hang spots, the library with cousin Seth. We listened to stories, looked at the fish and danced :) Check out our moves and us grubbing down on lunch. Enjoy : )

The Baby Shower

The above pics were taken at my baby shower on November 15th. It was wonderful to be surrounded by all the love, energy and harmony. I feel so blessed that this baby is entering into
a really loving circle of friends and family. Aunt Lorraine did a spectacular job with the food and Aunt Carol did a great job with the games. My favorite part of the shower however was having my little sister, Ashley from Florida with me along with her best friend, Betty. I loved spending time with them. Check out later pics of us in NYC the following day!

Living Viva la Vida

Joe and I had the pleasure of seeing one of our favorite groups in concert together on October 26, 2008. Coldplay rocked the IZOD Center. The baby liked the rhythms as he/she moved around in my tummy : ) If you've never heard Coldplay you should check out some of their music. I am particularly partial to earlier songs like Yellow and Scientist. In addition, to their music I am deeply moved by their world views regarding fair trade, poverty etc.

Headed to the farm

Well, I haven't been on in the last few days. We had a laid back Columbus Day weekend.
Unfortunately, Joe wasn't off ! Bummer. Yesterday we went to a great nearby park as well
as Open Swim at the YMCA. Jonah loves the water and is fascinated with ducks at the moment.

Unfortunately, I have to retrieve the camera from Aunt Kerry (I left it in her car over the weekend) so I don't have any new pics. I am sure that I'll get some nice shots from our visit to the farm. We are going with our buddies Ms. Tamika, Amil, Atiyya, Ms. Ingrid, Issaiah, and baby Roman. For those of you wondering what my belly is looking like enjoy this picture and I'll check back in after the farm tomorrow. Love- the OHA crew

School Days

Hello all! Well, Jonah and I made it through Jonah's first few days of pre-school. He is attending three days a week from 8:45-12:00 p.m. So far he seems to love it. The kids really like him and he is quite the social bumblebee. On the first day he went up to a table of children who were playing and said, "What's up guys?" Priceless moment. He loves singing nursery rhymes like Humpty Dumpty, Hickory Dickory Dock etc. He is really becoming a big boy. We are working on potty training and enjoying fall!

Darius and Jonah take on the city!

Just a week ago I had the pleasure of

taking my nephew Darius and Jonah to Central Park. We had a ball! I loved it when I put Darius on the swing and he exclaimed, "Wheee!" Can't wait to have these little guys together next summer!

Ready for the camera!

I'll be the first to say that technology is amazing! I just had a fun scan done this morning. To see this new little life was unbelievable. As the tears rolled down my face...all I could think was "Blessed...that is what I am...Blessed." Enjoy!

Just imagine in a few months we will all meet this little person! What chubby little cheeks already (and to think we still have another 2 months ahead)!

I love to Read!

There is Jonah bear reading to Baxter!

He has Harvard written all over him :)

Finally got around to doing this...

Well, I've been wanting to create one of these for the longest times, but I just hadn't had a chance to. My own little blog spot. So, you'll be able to see what all the O HAppenings are.
OHA= Orange Heights Ave for FYI. In the coming months there is a ton that is bound to be happening as we prepare for baby #2. Well, it's late...gonna eat some ice cream and try to head to bed in hopes of getting up tomorrow and making it to 6:00 a.m. class at the Y.
